Terms of Use
Last updated: 12 August 2026
1. About Mocktest.uk
Mocktest.uk is an online assessment-support service intended to assist driving instructors and other permitted users with mock driving assessments, candidate records, reports and related administration. Mocktest.uk is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), and a Mocktest.uk assessment is not an official DVSA driving test.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you should not use Mocktest.uk.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your login credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Instructor accounts are intended for the person or organisation that created them. You must not use another instructor's account without authority or attempt to access candidate information belonging to another account.
4. Candidate information
You must have an appropriate lawful basis and authority to enter candidate personal information into Mocktest.uk. You are responsible for ensuring that information you enter is relevant, accurate and used appropriately.
5. Mock assessments and professional judgement
Mocktest.uk provides tools to record and present practice assessments. The system does not replace the judgement, supervision or professional responsibilities of an instructor or supervising driver. Automated totals, pass/fail indications, reports, wording prompts and other outputs are provided as assessment support only.
You remain responsible for checking any assessment, result, report or advice before relying on it or sending it to a candidate.
6. Examiner-style wording
Any examiner-style wording or prompts within the service are concise practice prompts based on current publicly available DVSA guidance. They are not represented as verbatim scripts, official DVSA materials or a guarantee of the wording an examiner will use.
7. Safety Notice
Mocktest.uk is designed to support driving assessments. Users are responsible for ensuring they comply with the Highway Code and all applicable legislation.
If using Mocktest.uk during a lesson or mock driving test, you must ensure that its use is safe and does not interfere with your ability to supervise the learner at any time. Where possible, enter or review information only when the vehicle is safely parked. Users are responsible for ensuring that any use of tablets or other devices complies with current legislation and the latest Highway Code guidance.
Nothing in Mocktest.uk should be interpreted as permission to use a hand-held device in circumstances where doing so is prohibited by law.
8. Free use and subscriptions
Unless otherwise stated at the point of purchase, a free instructor account may complete up to three saved mock tests per candidate. Once that candidate has three completed tests, a paid instructor subscription is required to start further tests for that candidate. An active paid subscription unlocks unlimited mock tests across the instructor account, subject to fair and lawful use of the service.
Current advertised subscription prices are £4.99 per month or £49.99 per year. Prices and features may be changed for future purchases, but any change affecting an existing subscription will be communicated where required.
9. Billing and Stripe
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Mocktest.uk does not store full payment-card details. Subscriptions renew automatically at the applicable billing interval until cancelled. Billing details, payment methods, invoices and cancellation are managed through Stripe's hosted checkout and customer portal where available.
Your statutory rights are not affected by these terms. Any cancellation or cooling-off rights that apply under consumer law remain available to you.
10. Service availability and data
We aim to provide a reliable service, but Mocktest.uk is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available, or that stored information can never be lost or corrupted.
You should retain any records that you are legally or professionally required to keep independently of Mocktest.uk.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mocktest.uk does not accept responsibility for loss arising solely from reliance on a mock assessment, report, wording prompt, automated result, interruption of the service or loss of data. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
12. Acceptable use
You must not use Mocktest.uk unlawfully; attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data; interfere with the operation or security of the service; upload malicious content; or use the service in a way that infringes the rights of another person.
13. Intellectual property
The Mocktest.uk software, design, branding and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. You retain rights in information you lawfully enter into the service. These terms do not transfer ownership of your candidate records to us.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, unlawful use, material breach of these terms or protection of other users. You may stop using the service at any time and may cancel a paid subscription through the billing portal where available.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service, law or regulatory requirements change. Material changes will be brought to account holders' attention where appropriate.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you in another part of the United Kingdom.
18. Referral programme
Eligible instructors may receive a personal referral link. Unless a different offer is stated, when a new instructor who joined through that link subsequently becomes a paying Pro subscriber, the referring instructor receives £4.99 of account credit. The credit is applied through Stripe to future subscription invoices, has no cash value and cannot be transferred or withdrawn.
Only one referral reward is available for each genuinely new referred instructor. We may withhold, reverse or invalidate rewards where we reasonably believe accounts, payments or referrals were created primarily to abuse the programme, are fraudulent, are duplicate/self-referrals, or are later refunded or reversed. We may change or end the referral programme for future referrals.
